The Aviation Museum of Santa Paula (AMSP), a tax exempt organization under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, is conducting this raffle pursuant to California Penal Code Section 320.5, et seq, in an effort to raise funds for the expansion of the museum. The Rules and Regulations of the AMSP raffle are set forth below. By purchasing a raffle ticket the purchaser agrees to be bound by these rules and regulations. AMSP's interpretation and application of the rules and regulations shall be final. Tickets: Raffle tickets are $100 each, payable to “AMSP Raffle.” Tickets will not be sold after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2008. Tickets may sell out prior to that time. A maximum of 1,200 will be sold. Any purchase requests received with payment after 1,200 have been sold or after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2008 will be returned. No other refunds are available. Only one eligible person may be entered in the raffle per ticket sold. If the name of more than one person is submitted with a ticket purchase, and that ticket is selected as a winning ticket, then the person named first will be deemed the holder of record of that ticket and declared the winner. Division of prize by a group purchasing a ticket in common shall be the sole responsibility of the person named as the holder of record of that ticket, should that ticket be selected as a winner. Purchases of raffle tickets are not tax deductible contributions. How to Purchase: To purchase tickets: Entry forms are available in brochure advertising, or at the Santa Paula Airport at the Museum's “First Sunday” of each month, or at AMSP's web site www.amszp.org. Fax the entry form to (805) 525-0463 or mail to Aviation Museum of Santa Paula, P. O. Box 908, Santa Paula, CA 93061, providing your name, address, phone number, e-mail address along with your VISA or MasterCard number, expiration date and three number security code, if a credit card is used for a ticket purchase. All entries must include payment by check, money order or credit card. An individual can purchase as many tickets as he or she may wish. All sales transactions are final. AMSP reserves the right to reject any entry form that is submitted with payment that does not constitute “good funds.” Selection of Winners: The AMSP raffle will start on Saturday, June 28, 2008 and tickets will be drawn on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at noon at the Aviation Museum of Santa Paula office, 822 E. Santa Maria Street, Santa Paula, CA 93060 from all eligible raffle tickets received. Winners do not need to be present to win. Eligible purchasers, who purchase tickets before Sunday August 3, 2008, will be entered into a special Early Bird raffle in addition to the Grand Prize raffle. AMSP will conduct the Early Bird drawing at noon on Sunday August 3, 2008 at the Aviation Museum of Santa Paula office and the Grand Prize drawing on Sunday, September 7, 2008 and will be held under the supervision of an independent accounting firm. The drawing for the Grand Prize raffle is open to the public. Winners will be notified by phone or U.S. Mail according to the contact information provided to AMSP at the time of ticket purchase. If a winner cannot be located by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2008 after making reasonable attempts to do so, such winner will be deemed to have forfeited his or her prize and another winner will not be selected for such prize. In addition to the list of winners posted on the AMSP web site, a list of winners may be obtained from AMSP by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the Aviation Museum of Santa Paula, P. O. Box 908, Santa Paula, CA 93061. Winning Odds: The odds of winning a prize will depend on the number of tickets sold. If all 1,200 tickets are sold the odds of winning the Grand Prize is 1 in 1,200 and the odds of at least matching the purchase price of the raffle ticket are 1 in 60. If fewer tickets are sold, the odds of winning the Grand Prize, Early Bird Prizes and all secondary prizes improves. Eligibility: Anyone 18 years of age or older may purchase tickets to enter the raffle. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. The raffle is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

The Grand Prize, a 1947 Stinson Voyager 108-1, N9100K, has been appraised at $25,000. Alternatively, the Grand Prize winner may elect to receive a cash prize of $20,000. The Grand Prize winner must make an election in writing between the airplane and the cash alternative no later than 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 14, 2008. If the Grand Prize winner fails to make the selection by this deadline, he or she will be deemed to have elected the cash alternative prize option. A minimum of 900 tickets must be sold by 5:00 p.m. Sunday, September 7, 2008 for the Grand Prize winner to have a choice of the airplane or the $20,000 cash alternate prize. If fewer than 900 tickets are sold by 5:00 p.m. Sunday, September 7, 2008, the raffle will be held as scheduled, and prizes will be awarded as advertised with the exception that the Grand Prize winner will receive 50% of the net raffle proceeds. Net proceeds are defined as the balance of funds left after paying all the other prizes, all raffle expenses and all expenses for the airplane. Net proceeds will be divided evenly between AMSP and the Grand Prize winner. At the option of AMSP the end date of the raffle may be extended for up to three, one-month periods.
