Arrival
Vendors enter the 10th Street gate between the hours of 6:00 AM and 7:30 AM. Spaces are located in Beech Taxi, just east of Logsdon's Restaurant. Space are first come, first serve. Vendors not present by 7:30 AM risk the loss of their space. The Flying Flea Market has the exclusive right to, and at its option can, resell a pre-reserved space after 7:30 AM without incurring any liability to Seller.
The speed limit is 5 m.p.h. Domestic cars and pickups may park in the back side of their space (parallel to the hangars). One vendor vehicle per space. Any larger vehicles need to make prior arrangements with the Flea Market Management for parking off-site. There shall be no moving vehicles in Beech Taxi after 8:30 AM unless authorized by Flea Market staff. Vendors may not leave the Flying Flea Market prior to 3 PM. Moving vehicles are not allowed for any reason during operating hours. (Buyers who purchase large items should either carry the item to their car or wait until after 3 PM). The Flying Flea Market is not responsible for any liability arising out of the careless or negligent acts of vendors, their families or their employees.
Credit and Rain Policy
All space sales are final and may not be transferred, shared or resold to other vendors. Management reserves the right to suspend, revoke, fine and/or prohibit future selling privileges to violators. Vendors may not exchange spaces without the approval of the Flea Market management. Flea Market Management reserves the right to relocate vendors to alternate spaces when deemed necessary. No refunds or credits will be given to late arrivals, no-shows, rainouts, and/or wind-outs.
Space Activity
The spaces are 20' deep x 18' wide and are clearly marked; vendors must stay within these parameters. Vendor vehicle must be within their selling space. No vendor vehicles (even if a second car or truck) may be parked in the Logsdon's parking lot. Contact Flea Market management PRIOR to the date of the Flea Market Sale for information on additional parking. Vendors provide their own equipment such as tables, chairs, pop-ups.
Walking sales are not permitted on the property. No one shall bring or distribute on the grounds any flyers or handbills without prior written consent from the Flea Market management. Vendors on the property may not conduct games of chance, skill, raffles, lotteries, or auctions. No palm reading, fortune telling, ear piercing, or health services may be conducted and/or sold on the property.
Market Place reserves the right to keep sound emitting from any type of stereo, radio, television, boom box, and/or other means to an acceptable level. Music containing explicit lyrics is restricted, but may be sampled with headphones. Please have respect for your neighbors.
Safety
It is the Vendor's responsibility to ensure that all poles, tarps, awnings, signs, display materials, merchandise and any other items be adequately secured at all times to avoid causing any injury or damage to persons or property under any type of weather conditions.
Vendors accompanied by any minor or adult are responsible for the actions of those individuals. All rules and regulations apply to individuals with the vendor. Supervision of minors is mandatory.
Selling Requirements
Commercial sellers must hold a valid local seller's permit as is required by the California State Board of Equalization. Please contact the City of Santa Paula. It is the vendor's responsibility to notify the Flea Market management of any changes in profile information or seller's permits.
Selling Restrictions
Vendors are not permitted to sell any of the following items:
- Firearms/ammunition; fireworks, popping caps, poppers, dynamite, stink bombs or other explosives
- Weapons of any kind including but not limited to: daggers, dirks, ice picks, pepper spray, mace
- Drugs, drug-related paraphernalia, prescription drugs, contact lenses
- Knives (Except boxed cutlery)
- Alcohol/tobacco
- Pornography including books or other material considered offending
- Counterfeit goods including but not limited to the following: CDs, video games, video tapes, DVDs etc.
Market Place management reserves the right at any time to prohibit the sale of any items or additional items from being sold or traded and to refuse admission to any vendor.
Departure and Trash Disposal The Market Place is officially closed at 3 PM. Please leave the space as clean as it was provided to you, all vendors must vacate their space by 4:30 PM. Trash must be taken home to avoid trash problems. (Please remember Trashcans in Flea Market Area are for customer use only).
*A $25.00 fee will be charged to any vendor leaving debris in their space; improperly disposing of trash.
The Flea Market management, the Aviation Museum of Santa Paula and/or the Santa Paula Airport Association does not assume any liability under the law for any act of the vendor while performing or traveling pursuant to the Flying Flea Market.
Seller agrees to indemnify and hold the Flying Flea Market management, the Aviation Museum of Santa Paula and the Santa Paula Airport Association harmless from any liability (including attorney's fees and court costs) and for any damage arising directly from Seller's use of the Flying Flea Market; Seller's use of any space; and/or injury to persons and/or property resulting from items sold or exchanged by Seller hereunder.
The vendor, by renting a space, accepts all rules and regulations of the Flying Flea Market, and it is the vendor's responsibility to seek out and secure a copy of all Rules and Regulations. Vendor agrees to pay to the Aviation Museum of Santa Paula and/or the Santa Paula Airport Association reasonable attorney's fees and costs incurred if legal action should be instituted by reasons of vendors' failure to comply with these rules or to enforce any of the provisions hereof. Flea Market management assumes no responsibility for any items lost, stolen, or damaged while on the property.
Please note - Any vendor found in violation of Flea Market rules or regulations may be warned, fined, and/or required to leave the premises immediately without rental reimbursement.
